Plenty of bruises and scrapes and twisted ankles from doing that, but never broke a bone...<br /><br />Everyone has their issues, but by golly your kids are gonna know you loved them.<br /><br />It kills me whenever Addison gets seriously hurt; when the bleeding doesn't seem to want to stop, or when the blister starts to bubble up from the burn, or when she can't sleep because of the pain.<br /><br />I don't want to my kid to have to experience pain. And yet these are the things that will make them strong. The things that will remind them that they can triumph over hard things, and that they're adaptable, that sometimes the best way to grow is to be limited in doing the things that come easy.<br /><br />But I dread taking her to the E.R.
